These three shoots expanded the Flavors of Madison cuisine spectrum. We ranged from Johnny’s Italian Steak House to Peruvian Inka Heritage to the Caribbean and Café Costa Rica. Some of the most colorful food I have photographed to date.

More Flavors of Madison shoots. This time going from downtown to Fitchburg. Brasserie V and Lilianas had nice natural light with lots of windows. Capital Chop House…not so much. I had one window for natural light so it required much more of the flash to light things up.

This day was a triple play. We had three back to back shoots for the Flavors of Madison. Fortunately they were all in the downtown area. They all had very different lighting situations. The shoots were in the middle of the day so we had some natural light, but it was overcast and the window availability was sometimes a challenge. All in all things turned out well.

On location at the Madison Club in their private dining room. Floor to ceiling windows facing lake Monona. It was a very bright and sunny day that day and the natural light was great. Added a little magic fill with the flash and captured the best looking pork belly around.

One of the events that I am proud to be involved in is the American Liver Foundation’s “Flavors of Madison” event on February 28, 2010. Along with Madison Dining Online, we are doing the online promotion for this event. This includes interviews with the guest Chefs and photos of some of their food. Since the Chefs had to take time out of their busy schedules for the interviews and the photos I didn’t have a lot of time for setup and lighting. I was very pleased with the results.
